The SGVRCL Club has been in existence since 1961. Our club is celebrating its 52nd Anniversary. You have probably just found the most interesting club around.
The club’s officers are a group of hard working people interested in promoting the sport of radio controlled aircraft.
Our monthly newsletter is called Interference. Click on the Newsletter category at the top of the page to see the latest and past issues. The newsletter is a great way to find out what is going on in the club.
Our SGVRCL Yahoo Groups Email List allows us all to communicate with another and about specific topics.
Would you like to join the club? You can download a PDF application from Here.
One of the most unique features of our club is the large number of licensed Amateur Radio Operators who are members. Many of them started flying RC when you had to be an ham radio operator in order to use early RC equipment, and you often had to build it yourself.
SGVRCL holds many scheduled events and contests. One such event is Aircruiser/AT-6 Racing, which allows the racers to add to their “Championship Racing” point totals.
Check out our on-line Picture gallery which includes pictures of SGVRCL members’ model aircraft and of many of the special events and even weekly activities in which you will find us engaged.
Take the time to check out our Links category by clicking on the link at the top of the page. It’s a page full of useful links to other RC Aviation related sites.
Finally, if you’re in town and would like to visit our club flying field then get a map and driving directions to our flying field at Whittier narrows map. We maintain the field in cooperation with the Parks and Recreation Department of the County of Los Angeles.
